Policy/FAQ's
Who should dance at Danza Viva?
If you are between the ages of 2 and 102 then you belong at Danza
Viva! We offer classes at the beginning through professional levels
in dances that will bring your dance to life!
Why world dance?
Because there is a world of dance which is much larger and richer
than we have allowed ourselves to experience - a more fluid, expressive,
authentic, dynamic, and life-giving world of dance which finds its
origins in the exuberant movements of Africa and traces a rich history
through Middle Eastern, Spanish, Latin and contemporary Hip Hop
rhythms.
What if I have never danced before?
Danza Viva offers many beginning level classes for dancers who want
to experience the joy of world dance without the pressure of having
to "perform". Take
one of our many dance fitness classes for a fun workout, try Latin Heat or Belly
Dance to learn some fluid moves, or take Hip Hop and try out some funky urban moves.
What if I (or my child) is considering
a professional career in dance?
Danza Viva’s students have access to the very best
teachers and choreographers and have the opportunity to participate in advanced
classes, teams and performance workshops. Both children and adult students can talk
with Danza Viva's director
Rebecca Huntman about designing a comprehensive pre-professional
program at Danza Viva to include study in African, Jazz, Latin,
Middle Eastern and Spanish dance or music.

Can the student change classes throughout the year?
Certainly. You can change your
class selection at any time as long as there is space in the class that you are
requesting.
My child is playing sports in the fall but would like to join for winter classes.
Can we still start mid year?
Yes. We will allow students to join throughout the
year. Monthly payments will begin during the starting month.
